Quick Step Scraped Rustic Hickory

Quick Step Scraped Rustic Hickory — modern flooring photography

Q: I bought the laminate flooring I have now from IFloors and am looking forward to doing the same in the home I am building.
The living/dining area is approximately 18×32. Will I need to put a transition piece in some part of the room or is there a way to get around that? I plan on using quickstep scraped rustic hickory.
Thanks,
Archie

A: As long as you allow for plenty of expansion gap along the edge of the floor. You will not need to place any transitions along the floor, but account for the size of the floor and potential movement this floor will have.
Beyond that with a floor this large I would suggest looking into a fairly dense underlayment if you plan on having a decent amount of traffic or furniture on this floor. At the very least I would look at 3mm cork, although 6mm would be optimal for a floor of this size.
