Floods

Floods — modern flooring photography

As many of you have heard the great Northwest has been very wet recently. As a side effect shipments from Seattle are suffering 1-2 day delays. Obviously east coast weather is having an impact too in the severe weather regions. This is normal for the winter, but just wanted to put a heads up out there that delays are common during the heavy weather.

I-5 is closed. KOMO and AP track the closure which has a convenient 82 mile detour through 2 mountain passes! This is causing some trucking delays for the west coast. Our eastern distribution may pick up some of the slack, but overall the added 1-2 day delay is not too bad considering the sever weather in the mid west and north east.

Just to illustrate that we got a bit of “action” here at the office, Bryan in marketing drove to subway for lunch and it turned into setting sail rather than driving. Why did he drive in so high that it was up to his hood? I don’t know. I think as the Semi-Truck (shown in the upper left of the photo) passed him, causing a wave which physically moved his car, even he wondered why he drove in there. Luckily his car stayed sealed up and did not leak nor did it stall. The good news, he is not in charge of nuclear launch codes, just marketing; so you are not in danger.

We know thousands of houses have been flooded, but the good news is our giant 60,000 foot warehouse is packed to the ceiling with lots of flooring for quick delivery once you get dried out! We’re here to help put you back together.
