Self Adhesive Tile

Q: Looking for a tile that i can just peel the paper off from the back and place on the the floor, what should i be looking for? Thank you for any help you can give me.
A: Usually self adhesive tiles like what you are looking for are a Vinyl tile. There are a few benefits to this type of tiling. The most obvious one here is that its real easy to install, just peel away the backing and lay it down to your subfloor. Another benefit with any vinyl tile is that it is pretty tough after it is installed.
Here’s a couple of tips for you. Self adhesive tiles are very fragile before installation, so take care not to break the tile before it is installed. Before you start to install, make sure your subfloor is very clean and completely dry. Any dirt or moisture can ruin how the adhesive on the backing cures and weaken the tile. Once you get the tiles installed, give them plenty of time to cure before moving anything over them or allowing any heavy foot traffic over them. My final bit of advice here is to keep in mind that Vinyl is a bit more susceptible to gouging when heavy objects are dragged across them, so use wheels or lift up furniture before moving it over these tiles.
